We believe marriage (and the intimacies therein) is ordained by God and intended as a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Gen. 1:27-28, Gen. 2:18, Mark 10:5-9, Eph. 5:31-33).
Marriage
We believe all scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. (2 Tim. 3:16)
Scripture
We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We believe that salvation is given to us because of God’s grace and cannot be attained through works or goodness (Eph. 2:4-10), but must be appropriated through repentance (1 John 1:9) and faith in Jesus (Romans 10:9-10)
Salvation
We believe the Holy Spirit was sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply the saving work of Christ to mankind (John 15:26, 16:13). At the point of salvation, He permanently indwells every believer (Eph. 4:30) with gifts for the upbuilding and edification of the body. Among other things, The Holy Spirit also convicts us of sin (John 16:7-11), leads us (Acts 16:6-10), teaches us (John 14:25-26), and empowers us to speak truth (Acts 4:31).
Holy Spirit
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) through a miraculous conception and virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matt. 1:23, Luke 1:34-35). He lived a perfect life and died to atone for the sins of all (Luke 22:42) by dying on the cross (Heb 12:2, Col. 1:20) as our substitute. He rose from the dead (Luke 24:7-47, Acts 10:40, 1 Cor. 15:4) and ascended into heaven (Acts 1:11) and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69, Eph. 1:20, Col. 3:1) where He is the sole Mediator between God and man, continually interceding on behalf of His own (Heb. 7:25) and He will come again to Earth (John 14:3).
Jesus
We believe that there is one true, holy God, existing from before the foundation of the world in three persons–father, son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, John 1:1-3) and who actively sustains His creation, operating throughout history to fulfill His redemptive purposes (Romans 8:28, Ezek. 12:25, 2 Chron. 16:9).
God
We believe God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman) (Genesis 1:26-28) and gender is assigned by God from conception with intention and purpose.
Gender Identity
Exodus 35:30-33
“See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft."
